A sample day

Science and conservation day: Kirstenbosch in the morning for plant diversity, lunch in Kalk Bay, then the penguin colony at Boulders Beach and the fynbos of Cape Point. About 9 hours, with time for worksheets at each stop.

History day: Robben Island in the morning, the District Six Museum after lunch, and a walk through the Bo-Kaap to finish. Robben Island ferries depend on the weather, so we always plan a backup.

Good to know

How many students fit in one vehicle?

Up to 7 per vehicle. For bigger groups we arrange extra vehicles with trusted partners and run them as one convoy, with one plan and one point of contact.

When is the best time of year?

Summer (November to March) is dry and long-day friendly. Winter (June to August) brings rain but fewer crowds. Whales are in Hermanus from about June to early December, and West Coast wildflowers bloom in August and September.

Do we need to book Robben Island early?

Yes. Ferries sell out in busy months, so we book as soon as your dates are confirmed.

Who is responsible for the students?

Your teachers stay in charge of supervision. Your driver-guide handles transport, timings, tickets and local knowledge, and shares a written itinerary with contacts for every stop.

How is the price worked out?

We quote per student, including transport and the entry fees you choose, so the school can collect one clear amount.

Plan a student tour

Tell us your school, group size, dates and subjects. We’ll send a plan and a per-student price.
